IPUC inspector Perkins/Brooks traveled to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho to observe the uprate of distribution
system in Burke, Idaho.
June 5, 2025: (2.0 Standard)
Representatives from IPUC, Avista and Heath Consultants convened at Reg Station 275 in Burke, Idaho
for a safety briefing, procedural review of the uprate process, and strategic planning for leak mitigation.
IPUC personnel collected/reviewed all OQ's and calibration dates of applicable equipment used. The
system pressure was incrementally increased from 45 PSI to 92 PSI over an 8.5-hour period. At each stage
of the uprate, Heath Consultants conducted a comprehensive leak survey covering approximately 12,000
feet of pipeline and associated meters. Two leaks were detected and promptly repaired during the initial
pressure increase. Upon reaching the target pressure of 92 PSI and confirming system integrity,personnel
adjusted the operational pressure back to 55 PSI
June 6, 2025: (2.0 Standard)
Returned to Boise and completed the IPUC Form I and relevant inspection documents were also attached.
