Comment: "A water increase? They already have a base rate that no other utility company
requires. If I conserve water it's impact on my bill is already minimal. My water is my highest
bill. I have no yard to water and take short showers. What else can I do?These guys are way
to high already. I lived in pocatello 20 years maybe contact them for more options?Or me if
you'd like. "

Comment: "I urge the commission to reject or substantially modify the 24.1%increase in
water rate which Veolia has requested. In the notice from Suez regarding the merger(dated
March 23,2022)it was stated, "Your rate for water service will remain the same. There are no
changes to rates as a result of the merger." Barely 6 months later Veolia, a foreign based, for
profit company now in control of a critical utility is looking to increase profits. If Suez was not
an attractive acquisition Veolia did not have to aacquire that business. Pleasesupport us Idaho
utility customers, who have no choice of providers for our water, and reject Veolia's request. "

Comment: "We are very concerned about this upcoming extreme (22+%)price increase
proposed by Veolia after Suez had already started increasing them last year. "

Comment: "Veolia is asking to increase rates by 24.1%. That is an outrageous request that
must be denied. This will increase their revenues by 23.4%, essentially passing their costs onto
their customers. Veolia made the decisions to spend these funds on their system, and are now
seeking to pass those decisions off on us. These are not costs that we would approve of if we
were asked up front. Their notification to their customers was presented as investments and
improvements to their system, with fine print on the back that let us know they were seeking
to increase rates with the Idaho Public Utilities Commission. This does not meet the intent of
notifying customers of rate increases and presenting the case for their need. Veolia's request
should be denied because it is exorbitant, was not put forward for customer approval of costs
beforehand, and is presented to customers in a misleading way."
