Inspection Summary
Audit consisted of IPUC inspectors Brooks and Galli inspecting field installed equipment for the Boise,
Idaho inspection units. The PHMSA IA question set and IGC equipment listing were used as a guide
throughout the audit to ensure all areas were completed/covered.
March 31 & April 1&2, 2025: (3.0 Standard MG)(3.0 Standard JB))
Met with IGC company representatives in the Boise district office for in-brief and to begin field audit and
review OQ records for all personnel taking part in the inspection.
Regulator Stations: 15 regulator stations were inspected for proper operation, regulator lock-up, relief
device operation, cathodic protection pipe-to-soil readings, pipe-to soil interface wrap protection, station
warning signs and right-of-way clearances.
8 casing-to-carver isolation checks, no cathodic protection rectifiers, 12 pipeline patrols, 32
emergency/isolation valves and 33 HPSSs were checked for proper operation, observations listed below.
An exit interview was performed following the district inspection with field personnel of Intermountain
Gas Company and MDU Compliance Manager Colby Lundstrom.
Discrepancies:
Regulator Station 48375-RS-60005 failed to lock up on the primary(dithiazine) and secondary(dirt)
regulators.
HPSS's with no line markers (carsonite or sticker) 48375-HPSS-68950, 48375-HPSS-68981, 48375-
HPSS-64801, 48375-HPSS-62243, 48375-HPSS-62332, 48375-HPSS-68971, 48375-HPSS-69004, 48375-
HPSS-62244, 48375-HPSS-66683.
HPSS with buried emergency shut off valve (stop) 48375-HPSS-62332
Valves: 48375-VLV-30214, 48375-VLV-34549 and 48425-VLV-32826 were found inaccessible due to
icing conditions.

Inspectors Brooks and Galli met with IGC Compliance Personnel to discuss the discrepancies found on the
Boise Field Audit.
