Hello,
I am writing this email to express my concern over the proposed rate increase requested by
gem State Water. Order No. 36550, Case No. GSW-W-24-01 I understand that operating
costs and expenses may have increased over time however a 79% increase to customers is
very extreme. My wages have not increased 79%, in fact they have barely budged since
2022.
Please block this request for such a large increase. We need reasonable costs for our
utilities in order to just survive.
Thankyou,
Kelly Aguerre

Dear Commission Secretary:
Below are comments I submitted to the online site, but not sure if the post went through,
so am submitting also by email.
Case No. GSW-W-24-01
Order No. 36550
Contact: Adam Rush
"I am writing to object to the recent Gem State Water Company rate increase request. Less
than two years ago, our base rate was increased by$10.00. Now they are seeking not only
another significant base increase, but also lowering the base gallon allowance. With that
comes also a very significant increase to the overage rate for every 1000 gallons. For those
1
of us in the neighborhood that try to maintain a green space and turf for fire protection as
well as growing food in gardens will be forced to cut back on water use. Many here such as
myself are on fixed incomes, and we will be impacted significantly by this proposed
increase. Add to this significant new housing expenses such as school and fire protection
tax increases and insurance, North Idaho is quickly becoming too expensive for the average
resident. I respectfully urge the PUC to please reject this rate increase request from GSW
request fully. Thank you foryour consideration."

Hello,
I am a homeowner who will be affected by the potential rate increase by Gem State
Water. You guys came out to Athol and did a presentation. Can I get a copy of the
powerpoint you guys presented? I don't see it uploaded anywhere online. Shouldn't this be
part of the documents under the case?
Thankyou!
