SUBJECT: IN THE MATTER OF THE APPLICATION OF INTERMOUNTAIN GAS
COMPANY FOR A DETERMINATION OF 2023 ENERGY EFFICIENCY
EXPENSES AS PRUDENTLY INCURRED AND APPROVAL OF RATE
SCHEDULE EE-RS; CASE NO. INT-G-24-05.
On December 20, 2024, Intermountain Gas Company ("Company") filed an application
("Application") with the Idaho Public Utilities Commission ("Commission") requesting an order
designating $3,846,358 of 2023 energy efficiency expenditures as prudently incurred by the
Company. The Company's Application included its 2023 Energy Efficiency Annual Report, an
Evaluation, Measurement, and Verification Study, and proposed revised Rate Schedule EE-RS.
On March 10,2025,the Commission issued a Notice of Modified Procedure and set a June
18, 2025, deadline for initial comments and a July 9, 2025, deadline for the Company's reply
comments. Order No. 36495.
On May 27, 2025, the Company served its Response to the Sixth Production Request of
Commission Staff ("Staff'). Within this response, the Company represented that due to recent
updates to the Regional Technical Forum's residential gas furnace workbook, the Company is
proposing significant amendments to the Application, including a recalculation of program cost
effectiveness and the retirement of multiple rebates. Response to Production Request No. 29. In a
subsequent discussion with Staff, the Company represented that it would imminently file an
amended application with the Commission to address these changes.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Commission vacate the current June 18, 2025, deadline for initial
comments and July 9, 2025, deadline for the Company's reply comments. Staff recommends the
Commission reset the initial comment deadline for July 10, 2025, and the Company's reply
comment deadline for July 31, 2025.
