Upon reviewing my monthly bill it starts with the"Basic Charge"of$20! To raise to $25 Then the current rate charge for the first 600 KWH of$0.08569. Then to $0.09829 THEN the current rate jumps from that to over 60OKWH to $0.09703. Rate increase to $0.11129. These rate increases of 14.7% is what Avista is asking for this coming September 2025. Then an additional increase of 5.3% in Sept of 2026. A 20% increase!!! I am just a gassed that they would ask for a massive increase like that!!! In the notice of rate increases that they shared with us, they use an average of 939 kilowatt hours per month. That is an interesting number. Was Avista being transparent in using that number? Sure prices have gone up for everything that we the people need. BUT some prices recently have come down, eggs come to mind!! Fuel is dropping.Wages, I wouldn't know as I am retired and am now on a fixed income. My IRA and 401 has tanked and I am not able to present my case to a group of commissioners and ask them to at least restore my accounts. If this was to go to the voters of these areas that Avista serve I truly believe that it would fail. I would recommend that Avista change their policy on vehicle replacement. Add a couple of more years onto the life span of the vehicles, work pickups, and work trucks. Commissioners, I request that you consider the thoughts from those of use that are against this unjust rate increase. Sincerely, Steve Dilley Priest River, ID --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
