I am a 100% disabled veteran and I was recently let go from my Remote job because of the economy going crazy. I cannot afford for my utility I am paying for them to give me less money while they also blatantly lied to me about being able to get 20,000k back to put towards the cost and keep it affordable. I cannot at this point afford to lose any more money in this transaction with Blue Raven solar and idaho power. Thank you" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Name:Tyler Jepson Submission Time: May 21 2025 6:11AM Email:jepson.tyler@gmail.com Telephone: 208-949-9031 Address: 1009 E Buck Dr Kuna, ID 83634-3544 Name of Utility Company: Idaho Power Case ID: IPC-E-25-15 Comment: "I am opposed to Idaho Power's proposal to reduce solar energy compensation rates for customers. This is the potential to decrease the value of my home and solar panels while increasing energy costs. The net result of this reduced compensation could be fewer solar panels, less clean energy, and more pollution in Idaho. Idaho's population continues to grow, and the energy needs will continue to grow as well:' -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 Name: Charles Sierra Submission Time: May 21 2025 6:46AM Email: anci[e05@yahoo.com Telephone: 208-631-5701 Address: 2922 S. Andros Way Meridian, ID 83642 Name of Utility Company: Idaho Power Case ID: IPC-E-25-15 Comment: "To: Idaho Public Utilities Commission Re: Public Comment on Case#IPC-E-25-15—Opposition to Idaho Power's Solar Compensation Proposal Dear Commissioners, I am writing to formally oppose Idaho Power's proposal under Case#IPC-E-25-15, which seeks to drastically reduce compensation rates for residential solar customers through its revised Export Credit Rate (ECR).This proposal threatens not only the economic viability of existing rooftop solar investments but also the broader progress toward energy independence and sustainability in Idaho. The proposed reduction—from 6.18 cents per kilowatt-hour to as low as 2.46 cents annually, and under 1 cent during non-summer months—represents a devaluation of clean, locally produced energy. Meanwhile, customers are still charged 8 cents or more for energy purchased from Idaho Power, creating an unjust imbalance that punishes those who have chosen to invest in renewable solutions. I must also express my concern that this proposal follows the Commission's 2023 decision to eliminate net metering, a change made despite strong public opposition. That decision undermined public trust, and now, this follow-up proposal appears to deepen that divide. Once again, the voices of Idaho residents—who seek energy freedom, cost savings, and environmental stewardship—are being ignored in favor of a utility's short-term financial interests. 2 Solar power benefits all Idahoans. It reduces grid strain, limits costly infrastructure upgrades, cuts emissions, and increases resilience. The methodology used by Idaho Power to justify this rate cut fails to fully account for these benefits, and the Commission should demand a more comprehensive, transparent, and independently validated assessment. I urge the IPUC to reject this proposal and stand with the public interest. Protect energy choice. Protect Idaho's clean energy future. Respectfully, Charles Sierra" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: mel29fd@aol.com <mel29fd@aol.com> Sent:Wednesday, May 21, 2025 7:20 AM To: secretary<secretary@puc.idaho.gov> Subject: idaho power Im sure this will not get to the board but I just want to say my two cents. I bought solar four years ago Idaho power had no problem taking my money for the permit and all the requirements. now they want to cut our rates I have a loan for my solar that i pay to offset Idaho powers charge. if this happens now I pay on a loan and pay Idaho power. If they want to cut what they pay for our solar then they should pay off our loans for the solar so I'm only paying for one bill not two. I will loose a lot of money if they get this. sorry for the grammar and spelling, thanks I hope the commissioners can get this. I am upset with the rate changes that idaho power has requested. I am generating enough power to cover my usage but idaho power is not giving me a fair rate or schedule. They are crediting me at the lowest rate during the day when my generating is the highest and then raising the rate when there is no power being generated. I don't think another rate change is fair." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4 IDAHO PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION IPC-E-25-15 Boise, Idaho May 20, 2015 COMMENT FORM Please use the space below to file a comment in this case.
