Comment: "Dear Idaho Public Utilities Commission,
I'm askingyou to reject Falls Water's request to raise our water rates again. Here's why:
1. Rates Keep Rising:
Falls Water already raised our rates by almost 29%just over a year ago, and now they're
asking for another increase of up to 44%. Frequent, steep increases are tough for
customers to handle.
2. Unfair Impact:
Why should some customers see huge hikes (Falls Water and Taylor Mountain)while others
get significant rate cuts (Morningview)?The imbalance doesn't seem fair.
3. Not Enough Transparency:
Falls Water hasn't clearly explained why they need more money or how exactly they'll use
it. Customers deserve straightforward answers.
4. Extra Financial Stress:
Many families are dealing with higher costs everywhere else. Raising water rates again will
add even more stress to household budgets.
5. Ongoing Service Issues:
Even after recent increases, we still have problems like water outages, low pressure, and
boil advisories. Falls Water should fix these issues first before asking for more money.
Please reject this request until Falls Water can clearlyjustify the increase and show
improvements in service quality.
