VEO-W-24-01 OF VEOLIA WATER IDAHO,INC. FOR A ) GENERAL RATE CASE ) ORDER GRANTING REQUEST FOR REMOTE TESTIMONY ORDER NO. 36609 On November 22, 2024, Veolia Water Idaho, Inc., ("Company") filed an application ("Application") with the Idaho Public Utilities Commission ("Commission") requesting an Order approving revisions to the Company's schedules of rates and charges for water service in the State of Idaho, to become effective on or after December 23, 2024. On December 13, 2024, the Commission issued a Notice of Application, Notice of Suspension of Proposed Effective Date, and Notice of Intervention Deadline. Order No. 36420. The Commission granted intervention to Micron Technology,Inc. ("Micron")and the city of Boise City("City"). Order Nos. 36439 and 36443. On January 16,2025,the Commission issued a Notice of Parties. On March 13, 2025, the Commission issued a Notice of Schedule setting a May 21, 2025, technical hearing date. Order No. 36504. On March 10, 2025, Commission Staff, the Company, and all Intervenors participated in settlement conferences. On April 21, 2025, the Company filed an all-party Stipulation and Settlement, and a Motion to Approve Stipulation and Settlement. On May 9, 2025, Micron filed the written testimony of Jessica York in support of the Stipulation and Settlement. On May 12, 2025, Micron filed a Request for Virtual Appearance of Witness at Technical Hearing("Request"). Micron requested that the Commission allow Ms.York to testify virtually at the May 21, 2025, technical hearing. COMMISSION FINDINGS AND DECISION The Commission considered Micron's Request during the Commission's May 13, 2025, decision meeting. The Commission explained that remote testimony is not standard practice in front of the Commission; however, the Commission noted that no party objected to the Request, and that at this point in the proceedings, an all-party Stipulation and Settlement had been filed. The Commission granted the request, and the Commission now issues this Order in conformity with that decision. ORDER NO. 36609 1 ORDER IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the Request is granted. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that parties comply with Order No. 35375, issued April 21, 2022. Generally, all pleadings should be filed with the Commission electronically and will be deemed timely filed when received by the Commission Secretary.See Rule 14.02. Service between parties should continue to be accomplished electronically when possible. However, voluminous discovery-related documents may be filed and served on CD-ROM or a USB flash drive.
