Steel Pine N/A - Welder(s) Qualified 3.22 Pipe/Coating—Inspected/Repaired 2.12 - Cathodic Protection 2.32 -Non-Destructive Testing 3.12 - Welding Procedures - Removal of asbestos wrap - Exothermic Welding Additional Comments: Approximately one week ago, Sunrise Engineering conducted a leak survey in Deary, Idaho and identified an exposed 2-inch main gas line caused by water erosion. The issue was promptly reported to Avista, who subsequently issued a work order to address and repair the problem. Avista's Pullman crew identified the exposed 2-inch main and excavated approximately 25 feet in both directions from the point of exposure. An exposed pipe report was completed prior to any repairs. The pipe was lowered by 14 inches. A 1-foot layer of sand was placed as bedding and another I-foot layer as cover. Gas tape was laid over the sand, followed by an impermeable fabric spanning the length of the trench. A 1-foot layer of 3"basalt rock was then added, topped with road mix and compacted using a thumper to solidify the trench.
