Idaho Falls, ID 83401 Name of Utility Company: Rocky Mountain Power Case ID: PAC-E-25-02 Comment: "In Oct. 2024 we had a solar system installed that cost thousands of dollars. It is functioning properly and we are adding kilowatt-hours to the grid each day. We are currently receiving a credit of approximately 9 cents per kilowatt hour that goes into the grid. We purchased the solar system as we felt like it would help with sustainable energy and we felt it would be a good thing to help provide energy from a renewable energy source (the sun)through our solar system. We realized we would not see money invested recovered in our life time but felt like it would be a very good thing to do, helping not only us but those customers of Rocky Mountain Power. According to the above mentioned case PAC-E-25-02 it is being proposed that non legacy solar customers will not receive the compensation that legacy customers will receive. Those that put in solar after October 2020 are considered non legacy. So non legacy will be dropped from 9 Cents per kilowatt hour to 4 cents per kilowatt hour after October 2025 if this proposal passes. We feel that small amount of compensation is not fair to us as we have invested thousands of dollars to help us, other customers and Rocky Mountain Power by contributing to sustainable energy through our efforts and substantial investment. We feel like the big companies are the ones that are going to benefit from this proposal. Referring to a letter dated Feb. 7, 2025 referencing non legacy customers paying$52--per month: "Under the proposed export credit price, the average bill would increase to $89, resulting in an average increase of approximately$37.00 per month or about 72%". Are you kidding us! We feel like we are being penalized for putting a solar system in!
