Comment: "Green energy was being encouraged as an alternative to oil and coal power. We
put in solar panels and secured a loan for$73,000 for a system to generate enough power
for our all electric home.We were told we would never have to pay a power bill again since
we were generating more power than we used. Recently Rocky Mountain Power notified us
they were decreasing the amount we were reimbursed for power we generated by 50% so
now we are paying power bills again.We are an older couple on a fixed income and thought
we would at least not have to face power bills again. This is really outrageous! Please check
the Idaho code. Is this really legal for them to do? Is this fraud as well as taking advantage
of those who tried to go green to help the environment!This also feels like taking advantage
of older adults! Please contact me with an explanation or we will go public with this
complaint.
