Comment: "Hello-I am writing to protest Gem State Water Coss application for rate
increase. They have proposed a 79% increase in my subdivision, and 53% up to 79%
increase in 5 other subdivisions they service. 79%!!!! That is an insanely exorbitant
amount at onetime. I am hoping your agency will see how extremely this is and deny their
application. Everything is s000 dang expensive how are most people supposed to, or be
able to, afford a 79% increase in something as basic as water?? I understand they have
costs that have increased for them as well, but it didn't happen overnight and 79% at one
time is ridiculous. Hoping you listen to the citizens who will be affected. Thank you for your
time.

Comment: "THE INCREASE THAT GEM STATE WATER CO. IS ASKING FOR IS RIDICULOS.
THEY INCREASED OUR RATES SEVERAL YEARS AGO. WITH EVERYTHING GOING UP IN
PRICE IT IS HARD FOR US LIVING ON A FIXED INCOME TO PAY OUR BILLS. MOST OF US IN
THIS NEIGHOBORHOOD ARE ELDERELY AND CAN'T AFFORD AN INCREASE PLEASE DO
