SUBJECT: IN THE MATTER OF THE ELECTRIC LINE EXTENSION SCHEDULE
51 ANNUAL RATE ADJUSTMENT FILING OF AVISTA
CORPORATION; CASE NO. AVU-E-25-04.
On March 31, 2025, Avista Corporation, doing business as Avista Utilities ("Company")
filed an application ("Application") with the Idaho Public Utilities Commission ("Commission")
for an order approving the update in costs and administrative changes to the Company's Electric
Line Extension Schedule 51. The Company requested a May 15, 2025, effective date.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Commission Staff ("Staff') recommends that the Commission issue a Notice of
Application and Notice of Modified Procedure establishing a May 5, 2025, public comment
deadline, and a May 12, 2025, reply comment deadline. Staff also recommends the Commission
suspend the Company's proposed May 15, 2025, effective date for thirty (30) days and five (5)
months, or until the Commission issues an earlier order, pursuant to Idaho Code § 61-622 to
allow proper time for discovery and public and Company reply comments.
COMMISSION DECISION
Does the Commission wish to issue a Notice of Application and Notice of Modified
Procedure, establishing a May 5, 2025, public comment deadline, and a May 12, 2025, reply
comment deadline? Additionally, does the Commission wish to suspend the Company's
proposed May 15, 2025, effective date for thirty (30) days and five (5) months, or until the
Commission issues an earlier order?
