Comment: "I purchased a Blue Raven Solar system with 12 high output pannels in August 2024. 1
am paying on a loan Of$23,000. lam writing to protest and object with passion the proposed
residential power production rate decrease Rocky Mountain Power is paying per KW for my green
power production system which I am paying a lot for. I didn't get to my knowledge no help was
offered in the way of rebates or help from RMP for my costs for this system. I didn't get any help
from the state of Idaho for the cost of this system. Rocky Mountain power has sent me a letter
explaining exactly why they don't want to pay residential power producers what they are currenly
paying becase they want to reduce the money they charge regular non power producers for their
usage.
I can barely afford to pay my loan payment on my solar system. That is my first objection.
2nd reason is I am already help the community through my power production which after the
promotion period i will be paying$142/mo.for the loan.
3rd my wife and purposely do not have a center air conditioning unit because of how much power
they burn. This is an inconvience but it helps the envrionment and the community by saving more
power. PLEASE DO NOT approve this proposed change as it will reduce the amount of residential
green power production!
Thank you! -Scott Richards Rigby Idaho.
(Rigby at 4100 East where we have the power go off fairly often. The most recent occurance was
when a car hit a power substation that was 20 feet from the road. It took two days for this to be
fully repaired where it wasn't interrupting our power.)
