Comment: "I attended both the IPUC Webinar on February 27, 2025 and the Public Workshop held
at the Inn at Coolin, Priest Lake, on March 4, 2025. 1 want to thank Travis Culbertson,Jolene
Bossard,Adam Rush, and Jon Kruck for their work on the Priest Lake Water, LLC General Rate Case.
I am submitting a second Comment Form as a follow up to my question at the March 4 Workshop
regarding the proposed Hookup Fee of$5944 for Materials Cost and $1500 for Labor(see Appendix
E, page 84, Priest Lake Water, LLC Application). I asked staff if it was under the IPUC's jurisdiction
to provide a provision in the Final Order that would specifically allow lot owners who are not
currently hooked up to the water system to be given the option to use other outside Vendors and
Contractors for Materials and Labor, provided they met IPUC and Priest Lake Water, LLC
specifications. Use of this option then,would preclude Priest Lake Water, LLC,from charging a
Hookup Fee of$7,444. Staff's response was that it this would be permissable to provide for just
such a provision, if they so ruled.Therefore, I am formalizing my request to the IPUC to include the
above provision in their Final Order.
