Subject:Veolia Rate Increase
The cost of everything is increasing at a pace where many average Americans can no longer
afford the basics let alone, God forbid, something pleasurable or considered non-essential
to sustain basic daily living standards. With regard to Veolia's request for a 20%+ rate
increase, I find it absurd. Under any circumstances, no increase should be granted above
the current level of inflation. If you choose to believe the non-stop gaslighting from the
federal government, then the increase should be 2.5%.While we peon consumers know
the actual number is much higher, that's the number being shoved down our throat's day
after day. And when I got my paltry 2025 increase for social security, after then increased
the Medicare Part A premium, I got a whopping$34 more per month.
So, I'm an emphatic NO on this kind of absurd increase for Veolia. If you're financially
distressed, I suggest you find savings elsewhere instead of constantly shaking down
customers who simply deserve clean, safe and affordable water.

I won't be able to make it to your meeting about Veolia, as I am elderly. I have lived in Eagle
for 42 years, and we recently switched from Eagle Water to Veolia. I was paying$8.25/
month with Eagle water. I now pay$19.56...which is over 3 times what we were paying. It is

just my husband and I that live in a modest home, and have a very small backyard with
artificial turf. We wash clothes once a week. I am questioning why it has gone up so much,
and now they want to charge us even more. Many seniors in Eagle live on fixed
incomes. They charge us a flat fee of$12.29, our water use is only$6.83, then drinking
water fee, and franchise fee.....REALLY???
Please do not let them keep raising our rates...
