For for years they have been able to operate the system under the $25 per month rate and the proposed increase would generate total revenue of$134 times 73 customers which is $9,782 per month and $117,384 per year. In 10 years that is$1,173,840 in total revenue. The spreadsheet shows total known changes costs of$122,03 and $498,817 actual costs of which I would like clarity on the line item costs and how they are related to the existing customers. I would also like clarity on how these costs were estimated. Do they have receipts and better descriptions of these costs so we can understand why our water rate propsal is more than double any other water service in the area? Many other customers feel that$134 per month is a very excessive amount for water and the increase is quite a shocking blow to our personal finances. We would like to be involved with the descisions that are made and understand why it suddenly costs so much more money to operate the water system. We understand there are infrastructre cost that sometimes need to me made but we also know that the water company has decided to extend the water coverage to new customers and new developments. I would like more informaton on infrastructure current and future mainenance improvements so the monthly fee charged can be better understood. It seems that the money collected over the years far exceeds the actual costs."
