Subject: Proposed Rate Hike by Falls Water Co
Hello,
We reside in the Falls Water and Taylor Mountain water system where a 27% increase of our water bill
is being requested by Falls Water Company. If approved, this would be the 2nd HUGE increase in the
past two years.
Annual significant increase should not be allowed to happen, we would like to have our opposition to
this increase noted.

Comment: "Our water service, under Falls Water, owned by Natural Water has been substandard, we
have had BOIL alerts that have lasted a few days at a time.These boil alerts are because of substandard
equipment(whar at they doing with the money?). Residents of Idaho under this arrangement ARE NOT
FAIRLY REPRESENTATED in the State of Idaho, with a company who only responds to shareholders, not
the customers they serve.
I VEHEMENTLY OBJECT to this proposed 34% increase, or ANY% INCREASE, by this out-of-state
company.They provide a substandard product, and raise rates to offset any losses in their actual meat
processing, restaurants and grocery stores.
Idahoans should not be subjected to these senseless rate increases, by an out-of-state company, located
in Portland, Oregon."

Comment: "I am solidly against the rate increase. It makes no sense, especially given that Falls Water is
looking to *lower* the water rates for Morningview by up to 56%while raising water rates in Idaho Falls
by 36%.They claim that will raise revenue by 25%and pay for new equipment. A 25% revenue increase
seems very,very ambitious. What steps has Falls Water taken to increase efficiency and economize
during these strained economic times? I'm not required to ensure that a utility makes a profit, my wallet
is not their piggy bank."
