Comment: "I'm submitting my complaint against Avista's pending gas and electric increase. As a senior
resident of Coeur d Alene Idaho I'm already struggling with trying to pay my utilities bill. My home under
1000 square feet, built in 2002 as a new build it received all necessary inspections including energy
efficient windows, siding, etc .yet I pay a 25.00 service fee for both gas and electric (50.00) a month,plus
usage calculations,which is well over 100.00 a month for each, electric and gas. Last year I had to switch
to comfort billing because I couldn't pay the total amount on the bill, my current monthly comfort bill is
191.00 a month and my current balance is over 530.00. 191.00 a month is far from comfort but I have no
alternative. So, I'm against any utilities increases.
