RE: INVESTIGATION INTO VALIANT IDAHO, INC.AND TIC UTILITIES,
LLC, OWNERS OF A NORTHERN IDAHO WATER SUPPLY AND
DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM; CASE NO. GNR-W-24-01.
On September 6, 2024 the Commission issued Order No. 36312, which directed Valiant
Idaho Inc. ("Valiant" or"Company")to submit the following items to the Commission:
1. Tariffs
2. Notice to Customers regarding regulation
3. A full legal description of Valiant's proposed service territory
4. A map showing the location of Valiant's utility service
Order No. 36312 also directed Commission Staff("Staff') to open a separate docket to evaluate
whether Valiant's rates are fair,just, and reasonable.
Valiant submitted the required documents on October 1, 2024, and October 4, 2024. Staff
recommended the Commission accept the submission on the decision memorandum dated
November 19, 2024.
On December 20,2024,the Commission issued Order No. 36426 accepting the compliance
filings and issuing Valiant a CPCN, which completed Valiant's obligations under Order No.
36312. However, a new docket to evaluate the rates in the Company's tariff still needs to be
opened.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Commission open a separate docket(VID-W-25-01)to evaluate the
rates on Valiant's tariffs as required by Order No. 36312.
