Comment: "I've been told that Avista intends to apply significant rate increases for users.
My recommendation is that Avista CONTROL THEIR COSTS, BACK AWAY FROM UNSUPPORTABLE SO-
CALLED "renewable" resources and focus on our plentiful hydro-power based, economical power
provisioning systems."

Comment: "I am tired of having to turn the heat down on a single temperature day so i don't have to go
without something else so i can stay warm. All the utilities rates keep going up but my paycheck don't
keep up with the rate increases."

Comment: "Ridiculous rate hikes coming in both September 2025 and 2026 on both electric and gas.
Why aren't the incoming developers paying for all the upgrades and improvements to the infrastructure
that Avista claims are essential?Avista is profitable. They have a monopoly."

Comment: "I am a senior citizen and want to oppose the utilityrate hikes Avista is doing. My bill rose
37% in one month and I can barely get by. I keep my thermostat at 65 and have not added anything to
have caused this. I even have a brand new heat and air unit that was installed last summer. My bill went
from $85 last month to $125 this month. I'm in a fixed income and more rate hikes are not
maintainable."

Comment: "I have been reading that Avista will be raising the cost of our gas & electricity
substantially in 2025 & 2026 and am vehemently against it. Avista's costs are already way too high and
are making it difficult for many people to stay warm. We keep our house very dark(few or no lights)
& very low temperature to save as much money as possible and the bill is still outrageous, higher
than it has ever been. Please do not allow Avista to raise their rates. People deserve to be able to keep
their house &family warm in the winter!
Thank you,
Kimberly"

Comment: "I am writing to register a complaint against Avista rate hikes scheduled for September 2025
and September 2026. These hikes are quite large and will massively impact most of the Idahoans living
in the Coeur d'Alene area, most of whom are already struggling with high rents and grocery prices. With
energy now being investigated nationally for ways to decrease costs, why is Avista raising costs, and by
so much? Why aren't these hikes paid for by incoming developers and real estate speculators that
swarm our area? Those on fixed incomes will be less and less able to keep themselves warm and to feed
themselves. Avista is a highly profitable concern, and there are ways around these hikes that don't affect
the struggling populace here. I represent many who are in shock over these huge hikes. Please
intervene.
Thank you."
