Comment: "While I have no objection to the$7,505 connection charge, as it aligns with similar fees in
other cities,the proposed 306% increase in monthly rates is an unreasonable burden on homeowners.
Many residents in this vacation community occupy their homes only part of the year, yet they would be
subjected to a year-round increase at a time when property taxes and insurance costs are already rising.
A more balanced approach is needed—one that ensures the sustainability of the water system without
imposing an excessive financial strain on property owners. I urge the Idaho Public Utilities Commission to
reconsider this steep rate hike in favor of a more reasonable and equitable solution."
