4 COMMISSIONER ANDERSON: Well, good
5 morning. This is the time and place for a telephonic
6 hearing in Case No . IPC-E-24-41, also referred to as in
7 the matter of the application of Idaho Power Company for
8 an order approving the transfer of certain assets
9 associated with transmission plant held for future use .
10 The purpose of this hearing is to take
11 testimony from members of the public in reference to
12 Idaho Power' s request for asset transfer that was filed
13 with the Commission on November 5th, 2024 .
14 My name is Eric Anderson, Commissioner in
15 charge of this hearing. I 'm joined today, also, by
16 Commissioner John Hammond and Commissioner Ed Lodge . We
17 comprise the Commission in this case . We will make
18 deliberations after this hearing.
19 Today' s objective is to take telephonic
20 live public testimony which will be added to the
21 underlying record in this case . The Commission will
22 review facts and evidence in the record to make its final
23 decision for this proceeding.
24 As an initial matter, let ' s document for
25 purposes of the record the parties present and their

1 counsel . We will begin with Staff' s representation.
2 MR. BURDIN: Thank you, President
3 Anderson. I 'm Chris Burdin representing Commission Staff
4 in this proceeding.
5 COMMISSIONER ANDERSON: Thank you,
6 Mr. Burdin, welcome, and Idaho Power Company.
7 MS . NORDSTROM: Good morning. My name is
8 Lisa Nordstrom and I 'm counsel for Idaho Power.
9 COMMISSIONER ANDERSON: Thank you,
10 Ms . Nordstrom. No one is on the line yet . We do have a
11 court reporter for this hearing. Today we have Connie
12 Bucy creating an official transcript for our record.
13 I can make the announcement -- it looks
14 like we do have a couple people on line, so in that
15 event, let me explain the procedures and parameters for
16 today' s hearing. When we call your name, we will unmute
17 your phone to allow you to testify. You will be sworn in
18 as you would in any other official court proceeding.
19 I will ask you to identify yourself for
20 the record, which will include your name, spelling your
21 last name, address, and whether you are a customer of
22 Idaho Power. When you are completed with your statement,
23 the attorneys for the parties will be provided an
24 opportunity to ask you any questions that they may have .
25 This prospect should not discourage you
CSB REPORTING 4 COLLOQUY
208 . 890 . 5198
1 from testifying because normally the questions aren' t
2 asked and they' re friendly questions . The attorneys
3 rarely ask questions, also, so with that, let me go ahead
4 and see if anybody wishes to testify at this time .
5 Is there anybody raising their hand?
6 Press Star 3 on your phone if you wish to testify. No
7 one currently has pressed Star 3 to testify, so at this
8 point in time, I think what I will do and for those on
9 the phone, also, I 'm going to take a 10-minute recess and
10 we will come back and see if anybody has changed their
11 mind and wishes to testify, so with that, we are at
12 recess for 10 minutes .
13 (Recess . )
14 COMMISSIONER ANDERSON: I 'd like to extend
15 the invitation to anybody that wishes to testify, please
16 press Star 3 to testify.
17 We don' t see anybody motivated to do that,
18 so we will at this point bring this meeting to a close
19 and we are adjourned.
20 Thank you very much.
21 (The hearing adjourned at 11 : 10 a.m. )
