On September22 and October 15,2014,Unity Telecom,LLC (Covista)requested that its
Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN)No.372 issued by the Commission on
October 22,1999,be cancelled.In its Decision Meeting on November 10,2014,the Commission
approved Unity’s request for cancellation of Certificate No.372.
COMMISSION FINDINGS
In October 1999,the Commission issued Order No.28185 granting dPi-Teleconnect,
LLC a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity to resell prepaid local exchange service
throughout Idaho.In April 2000,Certificate No.372 was issued to dPi-Teleconnect.In November
2012,the Commission issued Order No.32683 granting a name change to Unity Telecom,LLC.
Unity requested cancellation of Certificate No.372.The Company is not currently
providing service to customers in Idaho.Staff recommended the Commission cancel Certificate No.
372 and remove the Company’s tariff on file.
ORDER
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Unity Telecom,LLC’s request for cancellation of
Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity No.372 is granted.Certificate No.372 is no longer
in effect,and Unity is no longer authorized to provide telecommunications services in the State of
Idaho.
THIS IS A FINAL ORDER.Any person interested in this Order or in interlocutory
Orders previously issued in this case may petition for reconsideration within twenty-one (21)days of
the service date of this Order with regard to any matter decided in this Order or in interlocutory
Orders previously issued in this case.Within seven (7)days after any person has petitioned for
reconsideration,any other person may cross-petition for reconsideration.See Idaho Code §61-619
and 6 1-626.
