Comment: "The rate increase is unacceptable after their power pole started a huge fire that endangered
lives and with all the power outages we should not have to pay a red cent for an increase. They make
millions and they can pay the debt to the feds with their stock and not give their employees a raise till
the debt is paid off. We are considering going all to solar power and gas because of the power outages
we had this year. I lost a whole refrigerator of food which forced me to by a 2500 generator so I wouldn't
lose food the next time. This is ridiculous. We are against an increase for unreliability. Please listen to the
community. "

Subject: IPC-E-24-07 Idaho Power Rate Increase
Good morning,
I am writing regarding the proposed rate increase for Idaho power. I live in the robie creek area, and this
past summer has been the absolute worst regarding service with Idaho power. Most years we
occasionally have our service interrupted, this year our power was out at least ever other week for
hours, due to the it own mishandling of our power lines. Seldomly related to any actual issue that would
require the power to be out. Additionally, when they started that fire, they cut power to Robie Creek,
which completely removed the ability for any of us to be reached and notified of the dangers that were
approaching. Had the winds not shifted we would have all lost everything, possibly including our lives,
and yet they're asking for US to pay for the fact that they now have a looming cost over their heads for
their own lack of care? This is unfair, and a poor example off business practice. There are no alternatives
for electricity in the area, which gives them a complete monopoly over the people in their care. I for one
hope that you do the right thing and tell them no they can't increase our rates this much two years in a
row, when the service that they provide has gone down hill since the last rate increase. Since we have no
way to convey our displeasure by discontinuing service with them-as we could for almost any other
service provider- please be our voice and tell them that they cannot increase our rates at this time.
Sincerely,
Talitha Grimmett
