And that's while I'm only using electricity for my computer& baseboard heating and in wall A/C for the summer and no electricity for a washer or dryer, or dishwasher, or hot water heater. So not only should this rate increase be denied but Idaho Power should not be allowed any price hikes until 2029 because of the old and the new Trump "practically guaranteed"TAX breaks for large corporations like Idaho Power it's not only unjust for them to be asking us for money from taxes and by price hikes. If it weren't for their MONOPOLY on electricity here in Idaho I'm sure Idahoans would have much less priced electricity than in other places in the country that don't have all the free energy they make in hydroelectric power like Idaho Power does. Maybe they should have asked the Biden White House for infrastructure money instead of just sitting around raising prices on only their Idahoan customers. This isn't right and it isn't how we get these types of corporations off welfare. Because even though I am on welfare it's not because I want too, it's because I legally can't work most if not all jobs due to my medication. However corporations on the other hand are and will continue to just keep taking taxpayer dollars to give golden parachutes to their executives and make sure their employees are barely making it day to day financially. At least the executives of Idaho power gets to eat 3 meals a day, shower a long hot shower everyday and not worry about how their going to afford their electricity bill when it's freezing outside and if you turn on the heat you might not be able to afford it. So they should be denied a price hike from us customers and maybe it's time the executives take it from their pay before making Idahoans pay for another price hike. While Idaho Power's highly compensated executive employees might not find an annual average increase of$90 (per Idaho Statesman)to be challenging, retirees living on fixed incomes find these frequent increases difficult to incorporate. Please consider this in your decision and encourage Idaho Power to tighten its own belt before reaching again into the pockets of Idahoans who are struggling to make ends meet. Respectfully, Susan Bradford" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The following comment was submitted via PUCWeb: Name:Alex Hartford Submission Time: Nov 13 2024 11:10AM Email: alexs.hartford@gmail.com Telephone:406-696-0525 Address: 7270 East Canterbury Lane Nampa, ID 83687 Name of Utility Company: Idaho Power Company Case ID: IPC-E-24-07 Comment: "I am writing to voice my disapproval of the proposed rate increase on the basis of cost and monopoly. Given the changing landscape of the countries economics, now is not the time to add undue costs to Idaho families. All indications are that everyday prices will continue to rise. We do not need to feel the pinch from IPC when there is no competition who can provide a better rate. I encourage the denial of this proposed rate increase.
