BOISE (Nov. 1, 2024)—The Idaho Public Utilities Commission is accepting written comments on an application from Idaho Power to continue its involvement in the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance for the period of 2025-2029. The alliance consists of more than 140 utilities working to maximize energy efficiency in the Northwest, and Idaho Power said it is an active member. In addition to seeking commission approval to continue its involvement in the organization, Idaho Power is asking that its participation be funded through the Idaho Energy Efficiency Rider. The rider is a monthly surcharge on customers' bills that funds Idaho Power's energy efficiency programs and reduce electricity demand. The commission is accepting written comments on Idaho Power's application until Nov. 9, 2024. Comments are required to be filed through the commission's website or by e-mail unless computer access is not available. To submit comments using the commission website, please visit puc.idaho.gov and click on the "Case Comment Form" link on the upper left side of the page. Please use case number IPC-E-24-35 when filling out the form. The commenter should also include their name and address. If using e-mail, comments are required to be sent to the commission secretary and Idaho Power at the e-mail addresses listed below.
