AVU-E-24-09 OF AVISTA CORPORATION FOR A ) AVU-G-24-03 DETERMINATION OF 2022-2023 ELECTRIC ) AND NATURAL GAS ENERGY ) NOTICE OF EFFICIENCY EXPENSES AS PRUDENTLY ) MODIFIED PROCEDURE INCURRED ) ORDER NO. 36365 On August 1, 2024, Avista Corporation, doing business as Avista Utilities ("Company"), filed two applications with the Idaho Public Utilities Commission ("Commission") requesting prudence determinations of its 2022-2023 Electric and Natural Gas Energy Efficiency Expenses (collectively"Applications"). The Company requests an order designating its electric energy efficiency expenditures from January 1, 2022, through December 31, 2023, funded through the Company's Schedule 91 Energy Efficiency Rider Adjustment in the amount of$15,972,882, as prudently incurred. The Company also requests an order designating its natural gas energy efficiency expenditures from January 1, 2022, through December 31, 2023, funded through the Company's Schedule 191 Energy Efficiency Rider Adjustment in the amount of $4,149,757, as prudently incurred. On September 6, 2024, the Commission issued a Notice of Applications and Notice of Intervention Deadline. Order No. 36303. No parties intervened. On October 2, 2024, a Notice of Parties was issued. NOTICE OF MODIFIED PROCEDURE YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the Commission has determined that the public interest may not require a formal hearing in this matter, and that it will proceed under Modified Procedure pursuant to the Commission's Rules of Procedure 201-204, IDAPA 31.01.01.201-.204. The Commission notes that Modified Procedure and written comments have proven to be an effective means for obtaining public input and participation. YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that persons desiring to state a position on this Application may file a written comment explaining why the person supports or opposes the Application. Persons who would like a hearing must specifically request a hearing in their written NOTICE OF MODIFIED PROCEDURE ORDER NO. 36365 1 comments and explain why written comments alone are insufficient. Persons interested in filing written comments must do so by December 19, 2024. Comments must be filed through the Commission's website or by e-mail unless computer access is unavailable. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that parties comply with Order No. 35375, issued April 21, 2022.
