Inspection Summary
Audit consisted of inspecting field installed equipment and operator qualification for the Idaho Falls, Idaho
inspection units. Records and procedures for all Idaho Intermountain Gas Units were inspected in March 2021
at the Intermountain Gas Company(IGC) headquarters in Boise, Idaho.
August 2-4,2021: (5.5 Standard, .5 OQ)
Traveled to Idaho Falls and met with IGC company representatives in the Idaho Falls district office for in-brief
and to begin field audit.
Regulator Stations 70106, 70108, 70111, 70112, 70113, 70115, 70116, 70118, 70126, 70127, 70128, 70129,
70130, 70131, 70132, 70133, 70134, 70136, 70137, 70138, 70142, 70144, 70146 and 70147 were inspected for
proper operating parameters, regulator lock-up, relief device operation, cathodic protection pipe-to-soil
readings, pipe-to soil interface wrap protection, station warning signs and right-of-way clearances.
Nine casing-to-carrier isolation checks, one cathodic protection rectifier,four pipeline patrols, and twenty-one
emergency isolation valves were checked for proper operation.
An IPUC Form 3 (exit interview) was performed following the district inspection with Will Lindsey(Pipeline
Safety Specialist) of Intermountain Gas Company.
Observations:
Reg Station: 70108 relief had a low CP read (-0.77)
Reg Stations: not plumbed for lock-up 701128 and 70130
Reg Station: 70106 Primary had a leak on the loading element
Reg Stations: 70115 and 70130 reliefs failed to reset,fixed on the spot
Casing: 789-00-301 had a low CP read (-0.74)
Casing: 773-01-102 No sticker/marker, fixed on the spot
Patrol: PP-787-001 No sticker/marker,fixed on the spot
Patrol: ACP-789-001 No marking/signage
