Inspection Summary
Audit consisted of inspecting field installed equipment and operator qualification for the Pocatello, Idaho
inspection units. Records and procedures for all Idaho Intermountain Gas Units were inspected virtually in
March 2021 at the Intermountain Gas Company(IGC) headquarters in Boise, Idaho.
July 12, 2021: (1.5 Construction, .5 OQ)
Observed a KV Utilities crew, line locating, potholing and equipment staging in preparation of installing a new
service line at 865 W Bridge St. in Blackfoot, ID.
July 13-14, 2021: (3.5 Standard, .5 OQ)
Traveled to Pocatello and met with IGC company representatives in the Pocatello district office for in-brief and
to begin field audit.
Regulator Stations/Odorizers 60030, 60031, 60034, 60035, 60036, 60037, 60038, 60069, 60070, 60071, 60072,
60077, 60084, 60085, 60117, 60122, 60124 and 60126 were inspected for proper operating parameters,
regulator lock-up, relief device operation, cathodic protection pipe-to-soil readings, pipe-to soil interface wrap
protection,station warning signs and right-of-way clearances. Nineteen casing-to-carrier isolation checks, four

emergency isolation valves were checked for proper operation.
An IPUC Form 3 (exit interview) was performed following the district inspection with James Murphy(District
Manager), Phillip Colborn (Operations Manager), Colleen Villegas (Compliance Audit Specialist), Kelly Crystal
(Cathodic Technician) Jeremy DeGiulio (Valve Maintenance) and Sherm Schmidt (Meter Inspector) of
Intermountain Gas Company.
Observations:
Casing: 667-00-401 had log leaning on it causing stress on the pipe.
Casing: 667-01-703 needed carsonite replaced.
Reg Station: 60122 needs protection (barriers)to prevent damage from farm equipment.
July 15,2021: (1.5 Construction, .5 OQ)
Observed IGC crew members purging, removing, and replacing 4" relief line on an HPSS at manufacturing
facility.
