Inspection Summary
Audit consisted of inspecting field installed equipment for the Boise, Idaho inspection units. Records and
procedures for all Idaho Intermountain Gas Units were inspected in March 2021 at the Intermountain Gas
Company(IGC) headquarters in Boise, Idaho.
May 3-5,2021: (5 Standard, .5 OQ)
Met with IGC company representatives in the Boise district office for in-brief and to begin field audit.
Regulator Stations 40048,40053, 40054,40055,40056, 40057,40059, 40060, 40063, 40068,40069, 40070,
40071, 40072, 40075, 40076, 40077, 40078, 40079, 40080, 40081, 40084, 40086, 40090,40091, 40094,40141,
40143, 40145, 40191 and 40195 were inspected for proper operating parameters, regulator lock-up, relief
device operation, cathodic protection pipe-to-soil readings, pipe-to soil interface wrap protection, station
warning signs and right-of-way clearances.
14 casing-to-carrier isolation checks,three cathodic protection rectifiers, nine pipeline patrols, and 10
emergency isolation valves were checked for proper operation, observations listed below. A PHMSA Form 15
was utilized during the inspection on Michael Buckner.
An IPUC Form 3 (exit interview)was performed following the district inspection with Colby Lundstrom
(Compliance/Audit Specialist) of Intermountain Gas Company.
Observations:
Reg Station: Failed lock-up Primary: 40086, corrected on the spot.
Reg Station: 40091 Relief stack is right below multiple power lines. 49 CFR 192.199 violation
Low CP read: 40053,40055,40057, 40068,40071,40072,40076,40079, 40081, 40091 and 40094
