Inspection Summary
A construction inspection was performed on Blue Sky Costruction, a contractor for Intermountain Gas Company.
24-25 August 22 (4.0) construction,typed reports
IPUC inspectors(Perkins and Galli)observed contractors install a 12" steel main from the Kuna gate station to
Victory road. The project will consist of 22000 feet of steel pipeline. This job includes: trenching,welding,xray
welds, wrapping,bedding and backfilling with sand(6" on top and bottom of the pipe).
26 September 22 (2.0) construction,typed reports
IPUC inspectors (Brooks and Galli)observed contractors at the intersection of Columbia and Cloverdale.
Observations included: weld wrapping,bedding(with sand) and backfill, support walls were installed due to
trench depth being deeper than 60 inches,IGC FOC Jason on-site.
27 September 22 (1.0) construction,typed reports
IPUC inspectors (Perkins and Galli) observed contractors at the insection of Columbia and Cloverdale.
Observations included: weld wrapps, lowering approximately 100ft of steel pipe into the trench and in trench
welding. IGC FOC Jason on-site.
7 November 22 (2.0) construction,typed reports
IPUC inspectors(Brooks and Galli) observed contractors at the insection of Lake Hazel and Cloverdale.
Observations included: Cutting and removing 10 sticks of 12" steel pipe due inadequate and damaged coating
coverage after boring. IGC QA Monty on-site.
