Inspection Summary
December 1, 2022: (1 Standard)
A field inspection was performed on a High Pressure Service Sets (HPSS) in the Boise District by the Idaho Public
Utilities Commission at 6000 B Glenwood St, Garden City.This HPSS was inspected for pipe to soil interface,
cathodic protection, atmospheric corrosion, regulator vent screens, leaks, excessive vegetation and protection
from outside force damages. No hazardous conditions or code violations were discovered.
IPUC inspectors inspected meter set#227661 in a mobile home park at 406 E 44th St#31, Garden City, ID.
There was a slight leak from the inlet side riser fittings. IGCs leak line was contacted and a service tech was to
respond per IGC Field activity#78000451188.
IPUC inspectors witnessed Mallard Pointe apartment complex located at 508 E 50th St,Garden City, ID with
only one or two meters which was possibly an indication of a master meter. Verified by phone with the
apartment complex management that they use the gas to fuel water heaters throughout the buildings and do
not charge tennants for gas usage.
IPUC Pipeline Inspectors were provided a photo of meter 526625 at the Pocatello Railroad yard (275 S Harrison
Ave, Pocatello, ID 83204).The photo appeared to show the meter was resting on a concrete slab and had
possible erosion issues which buried the inlet valve. IGC personell were to investigate and perform corrective
actions as neccessary.
