Inspection Summary
Audit consisted of inspecting field installed equipment for the Boise, Idaho inspection units. Records and
procedures for all Idaho Intermountain Gas Units were inspected in March 2022 at the Intermountain Gas
Company (IGC) headquarters in Boise, Idaho.
January 27, 2022: (0.5 Standard Prep)
Prepared for IGC Boise Field Audit
April 18-19, 2022: (4.5 Standard, .5 OQ)
Met with IGC company representatives in the Boise district office for in-brief and to begin field audit.
Regulator Stations:48425-RS-60043,48425-RS-60046,48425-RS-59736, 48425-RS-59738,48425-RS-59724,
48425-RS-60269,48425-RS-60280, 48425-RS-1054097, 48425-RS-1136526, 48425-RS-60064,48425-RS-
59951(scheduled for removal CY 2024),48425-RS-59958,48425-RS-59950, 48413-RS-1113352, 48421-RS-
59984,48421-RS-59966, 48421-RS-59970, 48421-RS-59987 and 48421-RS-59946 were inspected for proper
operating parameters, regulator lock-up, relief device operation, cathodic protection pipe-to-soil readings, pipe-
to soil interface wrap protection, station warning signs and right-of-way clearances. A PHMSA Form 15 was
utilized during the inspection on Christopher Coe.
9 casing-to-carrier isolation checks,three cathodic protection rectifiers, four pipeline patrols, and 10 emergency
isolation valves were checked for proper operation, observations if needed listed below.
An odorant test was observed on Reg Station 48425-RS-60269 and was within established parameters.
An IPUC Form 3 (exit interview) was performed following the district inspection with Colleen Villegas
(Compliance/Audit Specialist) of Montana-Dakota Utilities Group.
Observations:
Reg Station: Failed lock-up Primary: 48421-RS-59966, corrected on the spot.
Reg Station:48425-RS-59724 pipe supports were metal on metal and zero coating between pipe and support
(Meter inspector deemed pipe supports were not necessary and removed them)
