IPUC inspector Galli and Perkins observed KV a contractor for IGC install approx. 1300' of 4" steel
service line.
To address: 3151 Witnah Road, American Falls, ID
Date: 10/17/2023
Observations included: Correct trench depth, OQ verification, pre-heating of steel pipe and welding of
15 sticks of 4" steel pipe. Inspector Perkins discovered a touch pyrometer that has been expired since
1/13/2023. NOPV I202309 will be written.
Inspector Perkins requested KV to verify with a second valid unexpired touch pyrometer that the
expired touch pyrometer was reading similar temperatures to determine if the welds can be considered
valid welds per the applicable welding procedure.
