Additional Comments:
June 20-21, 2023 (4 days): IPUC inspectors Perkins and Galli observed Das-Co a contractor for IGC
doing an Aldyl-A replacement project and reinstalling 2" PE main, 1/4" service line, new risers, meter
bars and meters near Cole Road/Desert/Latigo intersections. Observations included: trenching,boring,
backfilling,bedding, safety equipment, calibrated fusion tools, fusions on 2" & 3/4"PE, main and
service line install, tracer wire, pressure testing, line locating. There was a service line strike at 5977
Latigo, all emergency personnel responded, Das-Co contractor made the repair under the supervision of
IGC personnel. Quizzed employees on AOC recognition for fusing. All procedures were observed in
compliance with IGCs Operations and Maintenance Manual.
June 22, 2023 (1 day): IPUC inspectory Perkins observed Das-Co a contractor for IGC doing an Aldyl-
A replacement project and reinstalling 2" PE main, 1/4" service line, new risers, meter bars and meters
near Cole Road/Desert/Latigo intersections.
August 1, 2023 (2 Days): IPUC inspectors Brooks and Galli observed a DASCO crew install a 3/4"
service line at 5676 S Latigo Dr in Boise ID. Observations included: trenching, line locating, tracer
wire, EFV 1200 installation,butt fusion, electro fusion,bedding and backfill. Dasco crews were
quizzed on applicable AOCs for butt fusion. Additionally, a second Dasco bore crew was observed
boring and installing a temporary sleeve at 5634 S Latigo Dr in Boise, ID. All procedures were followed
in accordance with IGC procedures.
