Additional Comments:
IPUC inspector Perkins and Brooks met with Das-Co a contractor for IGC at Eagle Road and River
Meadow in, Eagle Idaho. Project consisted of relocating a 4" distribution main (patrol) out from
underneath a bridge to the side of the bridge for ease of observation when doing patrol inspections.
Welders/Crew constructed a loop on each end of the bridge for the project. Observations included taking
measurements, cutting, welding, pre-heating, fitting, aligning fittings so seams do not touch, jeeping,
surface prep, pipe wax wrap, backfilling and installing valve access sleeve, line locating, traffic control
and excavation. IGC tapping/stopping crew did 2 taps and assisted with pipe fitting. Das-Co foreman
was reminded to call other utilities when they are struck while excavating as required by Idaho Dig-Line
Law. All procedures were followed in accordance with IGCs Operations and Maintenance Manual,
Federal Code.
