Inspection Summary
IPUC Inspectors Perkins and Galli observed Douglas Pipeline Company(DPC) and Steele Cathodic conduct an
integrity/HCA dig on the Idaho Power-Bennett Mountain pipeline in three locations between Highway 20 and
the Power plant due to various wildlife holes along the right of way. Steele Cathodic was in the process of
composing a report of all pertinent information/observations.
Location I (adjacent to old school) -Minor pipe abrasions from excavation that were grinded down and coated
with two-part epoxy; wall thickness reading of.55 inches.No signs of wildlife damage were observed.
Location 2 (adjacent to dirt road and hwy 20 intersection) -Minor pipe abrasions from excavation that were
grinded down and coated with two-part epoxy; wall thickness reading of.57 inches. No signs of wildlife damage
were observed.
Location 3 - (adjacent to hwy 20 near IGC odorizer) -Minor pipe abrasions from excavation that were
grinded down and coated with two-part epoxy; wall thickness reading of.55 inches. No signs of wildlife damage
were observed.
All sections of daylighted pipe were bedded with sand and backfilled. Relevant photos saved in DPC
integrity/HCA dig file.
