Quizzed employee on squeeze and release times. All observed procedures/manufacturer instructions were followed in accordance with IGC Operations and Maintenance Manual). Upon arrival at the job site, I detected the smell of gas and looked around and could not find it. I called IGC leak line, and they sent service tech Ryan Leser out to investigate. He attempted to locate the leak using a plume locator, bar holed and used a CGI and he determined that there must have been a dead animal in the next door backyard (jungle).
