Additional Comments:
IPUC inspector Galli and Brooks observed Das-Co, a contractor for IGC install 3/4" service line from
an 8"high pressure critical line with an HPSS (High Pressure Service Set) in Nampa, ID.
Address: 610 N Robinson Blvd, Nampa, ID
Observations Include: Correct trench depth observed upon arrival, traffic control, safety equipment,
verification of OQ records, verification of equipment calibrations, multiple welds on 3/4"bore pipe with
tape wrap, potholing, boring and pull back under roadway, coating/asbestos removal, welded a tapping
tee to the 8"high pressure critical line, GTI visually inspected weld quality and UT thickness. HPSS
installation per OPS 300 and engineering diagrams (in file), EFV 300 on high pressure side and EFV
775 on low pressure side, steel to plastic pipe transition was on the outlet side of the HPSS via an
anodeless riser, HPSS on the house side of the road, wrapped all welds, PE butt fusions, tracer wire
install from HPSS to meter set, proper meter placement, successful pressure test on inlet side of HPSS at
760 psi for 15 minutes and outlet side of HPSS at 94 psi for 15 minutes, purging, bedding with sand and
backfill.
All observed procedures were conducted in accordance with IGCs Operations and Maintenance Manual.
