IPUC inspector Galli observed Das-Co a contractor for IGC install 3/4" service line(s) in Star, ID.
Address: 6963 Campolina Way, Star, ID
Observations Include: Abandoned service line job due to no locates for live power.
Address: 200 S Pecknhold Lane, Star, ID
Observations Include: Correct trench depth, line locating, safety equipment, verification of OQ records,
verification of equipment calibrations, tracer wire, failed butt fusions and bedding.
Discrepancies: Three butt fusions failed visual acceptance criteria per ASTM F2620 due to not having
even roll backs. The contractor employee was asked all three times if they are comfortable with the
fusions. The third fusion showed uneven rollback and was put in the ground with bedding. IGC's
compliance department was notified. FOC responded to have the pipe fusion cut out.
