IPUC inspector Perkins observed KV-Utilities, a contractor for IGC Install 3/4" and 2" service line(s) in
Hailey, ID.
Address: 1831 Heroic (3/4" service) and 20 Copper Creek(2" Service)
1831 Heroic Ave-Observations Include: IGC personnel gas bagging residence, correct trench depth,
safety equipment, verification of OQ records, verification of equipment calibrations, stab fittings, tracer
wire, successful pressure test, EFV 1200 installation, bedded with sand and backfilled, line squeeze.
Quizzed personnel on squeeze times and separation between electrical conduit and gas line. All
observed procedures were followed in accordance with IGC Operations and Maintenance Manual.
20 Copper Creek-Observations Include: Correct trench depth, safety equipment, verification of OQ
records, verification of equipment calibrations, tracer wire,potholing, set riser,bedded with sand and
backfilled. Quizzed personnel on and separation between electrical conduit and gas line and bedding
below and above gas line. All observed procedures were followed in accordance with IGC Operations
and Maintenance Manual.
