IPUC inspector Galli and Brooks observed Dasco, a contractor for IGC install a V service line from a
2" stub with a reducing stab fitting in Boise, ID.
Address: 12590 W Franklin Road, Boise, ID
Observations Include: correct trench depth, line locating, safety equipment, verification of OQ records,
verification of equipment calibrations, tracer wire, EFV pre-installed on the stub, butt fusion, stab
fittings (2"to V reducer),bedding and backfill. Quizzed employee on applicable AOCs of squeeze off.
Dasco crew needed to cut out a section of pipe that was damaged during the squeeze off. All procedures
were followed in accordance with IGC Operations and Maintenance Manual.
