Inspection Summary
A field incident evaluation was performed to identify the status and nature of a state reportable
incident.
On 8/14/2024 at 1115 hours, IGC reported a 2nd party line strike during construction activities at 1409 E
Lewis St, Boise, ID. The leak was secured by IGC crews with no federally reportable criteria met.
Roosevelt Elementary school was evacuated and Local Fire evacuated 5 residences. There was an active
locate ticket on-site. The personnel was a contractor working for IGC and had the appropriate OQ's. The
line had been hand located and was having debris removed when the bucket of the back hoe made
contact and breeched the PE 4" main. Media was present. There were no injuries. There was no ignition.
