Inspection Summary
Audit consisted of IPUC inspectors Perkins,Brooks and Galli inspecting field installed equipment for the
Nampa,Idaho inspection units.The PHMSA IA question set and IGC equipment listing were used as a
guide throughout the audit to ensure all areas were completed/covered.
April 8 &9,2024: (2.0 Standard MG)(1.0 Standard JB)(2.0 Standard BP)
Met with IGC company representatives in the Nampa district office for in-brief and to begin field audit and
review OQ records for all personnel taking part in the inspection.
Regulator Stations: 15 regulator stations were inspected for proper operation, regulator lock-up, relief device
operation, cathodic protection pipe-to-soil readings,pipe-to soil interface wrap protection, station warning signs
and right-of-way clearances.
10 casing-to-carrier isolation checks, 5 cathodic protection rectifiers, 13 pipeline patrols, 14 emergency/isolation
valves and 32 HPSSs were checked for proper operation, observations listed below.
IPUC inspectors observed regulator stations 48371-RS-1289867 (Primary Fail/Dithiazine), 48371-RS-59980
(Primary Fail/Oil), 48371-RS-59992 (Primary Fail), 48371-RS-59977 (Secondary Fail/Weld Slag), 48371-RS-
59976 (Primary Fail/Tap Shavings). Valve 48371-VLV-32835 and 48371-VLV-32786, work order created to
be flushed and greased and identifed as 2-man valve as needed. 48371-HPSS-66671 needs vehicle protection
secured and replace a carsonite. An exit interview was performed following the district inspection with field
personnel of Intermountain Gas Company and District Operations Manager.
