RE: Request to Cancel CPCN for Island Park Water Company
Dear Commissioners,
We represent the Receiver for Island Park Water Company, Inc (IPWC). IPWC has been
judicially dissolved under the direction of the Receiver, Big Springs Water Company, LLC. On
September 18, 2024, a hearing was held on a motion to transfer IPWC's assets to a non-profit
corporation. The Judge granted the motion. The remaining assets and liabilities of Island Park
Water Company have since been transferred to Caldera Water Company, Inc. an Idaho Non-
Profit Corporation(Caldera).
Caldera was established solely to operate and maintain the seven water systems that were
originally under the control of IPWC. As a non-profit corporation, Caldera is not regulated by
the Idaho Public Utility Commission. Therefore, we respectfully request that you cancel the
CPCN under which the former IPWC operated.
