Please explain where and how the Company applied Idaho's allocation of the
GRID Resilience and Innovation Partnerships Program Grant of$49,951,103
provided by Department of Energy in the current rate case. In the response, please
provide specific project numbers and supporting work papers.
Response to IPUC Data Request 256
The Idaho projects associated with the United States (U.S.) Department of Energy
(DOE)/Grid Deployment Office (GDO) award for the PacifiCorp REFORM
project funding of$49,951,103 will be focused on wildfire mitigation efforts and
reliability improvement. As with most utilities awarded DOE/GDO funding
through the Grid Resilience and Innovation Partnership program, PacifiCorp is in
continuing negotiation with the DOE. Contracts have not yet been signed with the
federal government. As a result, funds have not yet been applied or included in
the current general rate case (GRC) and the exact projects are yet to be finalized.
