Inspection Summary
A construction inspection was performed on Das-co, a contractor for Intermountain Gas Company.
19 May 2020: (1 Construction)
Observed DasCo crew pothole to expose main, HDD up Midland Blvd under irrigation canal. Observations
included excavation and HHD. Proper procedures were followed.
21 May 2020: (1 Construction)
Observed DasCo crews excavate intersection of Midland and Ustick for the 12" steel main, back ream the bore
along Midland with a 14" backream bit, excavate along Ustick for 4" steel main. Proper procedures were
followed.
26 May 2020: (1 Construction)
Observed DasCo crews Vac out bore mud out of bore pit for the 18" backream, bed and back fill along 4" steel
main, stub and cap 4" steel main. Also observed IGC crews excavate two spots along 6" steel main, hot tap,
stopple, blowdown, install two dropdowns for crossings. Proper procedures were followed.
27 May 2020: (1 Construction)
Observed DasCo crews complete the 18" backream and bore back for the 24" backream,tie-in a section of 6"
steel pipe with two 4" steel T's, and stage 12" bore pipe. Also observed IGC crews install pipe wrap, bed and
backfill the two locations along the 6" steel main. Proper procedures were followed.
28 May 2020: (1 Construction)
Observed DasCo crews bed and backfill the remaining 4" steel main, stage and weld 12" bore pipe, and
backream the 24" bit. Also observed IGC crews excavate back along the 6" steel main, remove coating and
patch the pitting that was found the day before. Proper procedures were followed.
1 Jun 2020: (1 Construction)
Observed DasCo crew attach 24" bit to 12" bore pipe and pull pipe through the bore. Observations included
lower pipe into trench, attach pipe to bore bit and pull pipe. Proper procedures were followed.
2 Jun 2020: (1 Construction)
Observed DasCo crew stage 12" steel pipe, excavate a trench down Midland and weld up the staged pipe.
Observations included pipe handling and staging, welding, and excavating a trench. Proper procedures were
followed.

Observed DasCo crew wrap and jeep 12" steel pipe, lower pipe into trench and weld pipe to existing bore pipe.
Observations included pipe handling, wrapping,jeeping, lowering pipe into trench and welding. Proper
procedures were followed.
