One welder(Robert Love) was tested and evaluated on Procedure 21726 WPS#2 SMAW all OD<0.188< X42 Butt/Branch and 21726 WPS#1, OAW OD< 2.375< ).188 <X42. A construction inspection was performed on Das-co, a contractor for Intermountain Gas Company. 15 Jul 2020: (.5 Construction/leak response) Observed a Das-co crew installing new W service lines at 2475 &2479 E Goldstone, Meridian, Idaho. All procedures were followed. During the construction I smelled a gas leak and called IGC Leak Line who sent out a service tech to inspect the source of the leak. It was determined that when the temporary power box was put in that the contractor drove the grounding rod through the 3/4" service line to 2480 E Goldstone. IGC crew responsed and repaired the leak. Typed up report Areas observed during this project/leak response were: Excavating, line locating, plastic joining, backfilling/bedding, pressure testing and EFV test. Attachments: IPUC Form 4 Construction Inspections Das-co daily Itineraries located in file for the project. OQ's for all observed employees are located in file for the project.
